What a great wedding. I arrived at a salon in Ballito where Talitha and her bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done and found them all to be completely calm and having fun, there were smiles all round amidst the hustle and bustle and I could just feel the excitement growing. After that I headed off to shoot Jayden getting prepped, only to find a very stressed looking groom-to-be who was too busy writing his speech to worry about photos. I shot his details and headed on. From there I went to Collisheen, where Amanda and her staff had the reception boma looking absolutely amazing and elegant. Exactly how Talitha wanted it.
Talitha wore a stunning dress made by Durban’s very own Casey Jeanne, who I must say a massive thank you to. Casey was on hand all day to help out in any way she could, she made sure Talitha was perfect before every photo and helped by holding my reflector for the portraits. You’re welcome on any of my shoots Casey! Talitha’s garter was made from fabric from her grandmothers wedding dress, and she had a small but elegant bouquet.
It ended up being an emotional day for both of them since they had both recently lost their fathers, but the love all around was overwhelming. Thanks so much for choosing me to document your big day guys, and congratulations!
