If you’ve ever been to Vryheid, you’ll notice that the entire town is built around the NG Moedergemeente church. It was completed in 1895, so one can only imagine the history. Both Lizelle’s grandparents and parents were married in that church, so it was only fitting they Michiel and Lizelle got married there too. The reception was held just down the road at Lancaster Lodge, which has a stunning waterfall and small damn which was perfect for the photos.
It was a Great Gatsby themed wedding, so you’ll notice that the majority of the guests were fully kitted out in their 1920′s outfits. Everything went very smoothly, and it was a wonderful day with perfect weather. I only met Michiel and Lizelle for the first time when I arrived at the venue the day before, they were really easy to work with and easy going. Soon after the wedding they jetted off to Mauritius for their honeymoon. Congratulations Michiel and Lizelle, it was a real honour to be part of your wonderful wedding.
