Sabelo & Thabile – Netherwood

There’s two words I can use to describe Sabelo and Thabile’s wedding, and that’s ALL OUT. They had an ice cream van, popcorn machine, photo booth, cigar bar, disposable cameras, croquet, heel stoppers for the ladies, loads of chalk boards all over with wonderful sayings written on them, an old bicycle with flowers hanging off it, and to top it all off she wore a Vera Wang wedding gown. Thabile says she lived on Pinterest while planning the wedding.

Despite so much attention paid to the details and decor, she never lost sight of what her wedding was really all about. That’s the coming together of two people in front of their loved ones, a lifelong commitment followed by a celebration. There was tears, laughter, celebration, good food and champagne. Both Thabile and Sabelo thanked me in their respective speeches, but not just a passing thanks, it was about a solid minute each of saying thanks. I really appreciated that, and I was walking with a spring in my step again after a long day of shooting. I’m so glad I could help with your planning.

Sabelo and Thabile are both doctors. When they first contacted me they were trying to book their wedding for Hartford House, then out of the blue they said they had decided on Netherwood.
