I wouldn’t normally take a booking for just a few hours of shooting, especially when it’s over two hours drive away, but when Zané told me that they were planning on taking a helicopter flip to the top of a mountain in the Drakensburg to get married, I just couldn’t resist. It was a wonderful experience flying over the Drakensburg mountains and capturing their intimate wedding ceremony. They only had a few friends attending which helped make it more special.
Any photographer will tell you that you can’t take outdoor photos at midday, and they’re not wrong because the light is at it’s brightest. So I just had to do my best, obviously there aren’t any golden sunset photos so I made use of the surroundings and the scenery. Congratulations to Juan and Zané!
