Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and considering me to photograph your wedding. I’m a full time photographer based in Hillcrest, not far from Durban, my wife Bronwyn is wonderful and we have two pugs named Humphrey and Layla, one of which is sleeping on my lap as I type this.
I started doing commercial photography in 2006 while working as a graphic designer, but soon found myself also photographing events and doing family portrait photo shoots. My sideline photography business took off more than I could ever imagine, and I soon resigned from the corporate world to focus on freelancing as a photographer and graphic designer. Before long I undertook to photograph my first wedding and have steadily grown my business since. I am now an experienced professional photographer who shoots 35 – 40 weddings a year, mostly in KZN but always keen to travel. I also shoot corporate events and commissioned commercial work.
I’m a member of the international Fearless Photographers and was a finalist in the South African Bride’s Choice Awards.
I shoot on all Canon gear, full frame camera bodies and professional grade lenses. You’ll often see me lying on the ground, wading through rivers or climbing trees when I shoot. I like to use as much natural light at possible, but have no problem setting up flashes and additional lighting if I need to.
If you had to ask me where I’ll be in 10 years time, I’d say that I’ll still be a photographer.
