Matt & Bonny – Eden Lassie
Bonny was a bride who knew exactly what she wanted, the day was planned with military precision and everything ran so smoothly that this wedding was a dream to photograph. There were so many stunning little details, from the reception decor through to Bonny’s bouquet. They both got ready (seperately) at Matt’s mothers home in Gillitts, which was wonderfully decorated so it provided plenty of prettiness for the photographs.
The boys had a relaxing game of pool at the pub before getting in to their suits, while the girls were having a lot of fun making sure Bonny was taken care of.
I’ve seen plenty of anxious grooms waiting at the alter for their brides, but Matt was cool, calm and collected the whole time. Well, it seemed like it anyway but you never know what’s happening beneath the surface! When Bonny did her bouquet tossing it got stuck in the draping, what a classic moment! Luckily there was a back-up bouquet.
It was a wonderful wedding, thank you Matt & Bonny for making me a part of your big day and congratulations!
Justin & Ramola – Camelot Estate
Justin is an IT fundi, he said one of the reasons he booked me was because he liked my website. Thanks Justin! These two are so madly in love and their wedding was a wonderful festive affair. The ceremony was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in New Germany followed by the creative photo shoot and reception up at scenic Camelot in Hillcrest. It was great to do a local wedding for a change, it was a 10 minute drive home afterwards. Congratulations Justin & Ramola, hope you two remain as happy together as you were on your wedding day!
Greg & Sasha – Nkwazi Lake Lodge
What a stunning wedding, Greg & Sasha were married at Nkwazi Lodge which is near Hluhluwe in Northern KZN. We stayed over the night before and got some great shots at the pub and dinner. Sasha got ready with her bridesmaids at a wonderful spa not far from the venue while the boys watched the Sharks lose, sorry chaps. Straight after the ceremony there was a small christening ceremony of Greg & Sasha’s young son Travis. It was a very festive wedding in general, and it was clear that it was going to be that way when we saw a bottle of tequila on each table at the reception.
We headed off into the depths of the bush for the creative photo shoot, which is one of the reasons I love shooting weddings on game ranches. Congratulations Greg & Sasha!
Darren & Stefan – Lastingham
Darren & Stefan were married at Lastingham in the KZN Midlands. We did the creative shoot before the ceremony to avoid having the guests waiting, and also it would have been night time by the time the ceremony was finished. It was a great day for everyone there and I got some wonderful shots. The decor was magnificent and the cake was one of the most elaborate ones I’ve ever seen. Congratulations guys!
Justin & Kate – Providence
It was an icy cold rainy day in the Midlands, but Justin & Kate didn’t let that phase them at all. Justin got ready at Springholme, which is practically next door to Providence, while Kate got ready at her parents house which is also in the Midlands. The ceremony was at a nearby chapel, followed by a quick stop at the railway for a couple of shots. Then it was off to Providence.
When Justin went under his brides dress to get the garter, he pulled out a huge pair of red underpants (which he was obviously hiding in his pocket). The entire room filled with laughter. It was a really fun wedding, despite the weather.
Thanks guys for a wonderful day, congratulations!
